DissertationAI is a support tool. It is designed to complement — not replace — your dissertation advisor, committee, and institutional review processes. The feedback provided is AI-generated and should be evaluated critically alongside guidance from your academic mentors.

2. Account & Eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable Use

You may only upload documents that you have the right to submit (your own work or work you have permission to analyze).
You may not use DissertationAI to generate, ghostwrite, or produce academic work to submit as your own. The tool provides feedback on existing writing — it does not write for you.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of this tool complies with your institution's academic integrity policies.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all documents you upload and the intellectual property contained within them. DissertationAI does not claim any rights to your research, writing, or ideas. Analysis results generated from your documents are provided for your personal academic use.

5. Payment & Subscriptions

Free tier: Includes 3 lifetime analyses at no cost. No credit card required.
Pro tier: $39/month, billed monthly. Includes unlimited analyses and all features.
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

6. Limitation of Liability

DissertationAI provides AI-generated feedback that may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or suggestions that do not apply to your specific context. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any analysis output.

DissertationAI is not responsible for academic outcomes, committee decisions, or any consequences resulting from actions taken based on the tool's feedback. Always consult your advisor and committee for definitive guidance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DissertationAI's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime when possible.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use provisions. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the service. Continued use of DissertationAI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
